Many, but they're all safely hidden away on facebook so only the other local cosplayers can see them LOL

I was never a fan of star trek or star wars but you can easily pose as a sexy play as those franchises...I always loved taking a male role and making it into a sexy female version

I am  a HUGE fan of Star Trek.  It's my favourite franchise of all time, biggest fandom of mine, etc etc.  I can debate underlying themes in Star Trek for hours with anyone anytime.  I can win any argument about any detail.  I love it.

And I honestly didn't make it any sexier than the women were in the original series.  The dress I made is actually the official female uniform of the series XD

Alright, I just gotta say that I love this photo.

The cosplay is excellent; you can just tell it's Kirk by the hairstyle, the confidence in the pose... everything. And the expression? Brilliant. Just the type of wide eyed concern a female Kirk would convey. The dress itself is well made and looks like it could be on the original show!

Lovely shot, lovely cosplay, just lovely :)

Thank you so so much! I absolutely adore it when people actually post a lovely descriptive comment like yours, it completely makes my day :D And I actually made the dress myself out of the velour used in the first season :)

You do look absolutely amazing and it really is a great photo. You look pretty worried there, captain. Is your phaser out of power?

The 60's costume design is interesting: since the show promoted a utopian future with (relatively) progressive values and was trying to engage with contemporary youth culture, it's not surprising they incorporated the miniskirt, which was then being popularised and was arguably a visual clue to the modernity of the Federation's attitudes, for all it's old fashioned hierarchical structure. It made the statement that it was about accepting what was fresh and new and exciting, about over turning old limitations and austerities.
The miniskirt was part of the iconography of the sexual revolution. It's a sexy item of clothing. You're very pretty and you do look sexy in that costume. Is that "perving?" because EVERYONE who's seen this photo has thought that. It's just a fact. When you've dressed sexily, photographed it and publicly displayed the picture you can't reasonably tell people not to find you sexy. That's all part of what I was referring to in another post when I was talking about there being an inherent aspect of objectification in cosplay and modelling. Of course that doesn't mean you have to be *told* about it (or, as we've discussed elsewhere, expect or tolerate abuse, on here or at cons).

Thank you! And perhaps :S

And I'm not against people thinking I'm attractive, etc, but if someone is to flat out say "I'm sorry for perving," well, now I know that you were just having some lewd thoughts. If one had kept those thoughts to oneself, then there would be no problem. And I personally don't dress to be sexy, I dress to reflect my self confidence, which isn't very heavily influenced by other peoples' opinions

For some reason, I can't get over how small that skirt is. Sorry for perving.

I wasn't the one to decide on the length of the skirt, that'd be the original costume designers from 1966.

And plz don't perv on me :(
